Field Service Engineer

We are hiring for a Field Service Engineer in the Wixom, MI area. (Located about 30 Miles NW of Detroit)

Base salary range starts at 80K, relevant to experience and education.

Required :

Minimum of 3 years relevant experience

Understanding of PLC's, VFD's, electrical troubleshooting, controls, wiring, pumps, motors.

Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment

Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management & clients.

Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly.

Preferred :

Water / Waste-Water Treatment plant experience HIGHLY preferred

2- 4 year electrical engineering degree

Job Responsibilities :

Troubleshooting of PLC's, instrumentation, and motor control devices such as variable frequency drives and reduced voltage starters.

Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches

Tie workflow to schedule

Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks

Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions

Produce timely and detailed service reports

Document processes

Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols

Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization

Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations / briefings

Build positive relationships with customers

This is a SERVICE job. You will be provided a laptop, digital meter, fuel card, company vehicle and servicing water / wastewater treatment plants typically within a 2 hour radius of Wixom, MI
