Andrews & Cole has been retained to identify a CFO for a Nex-Gen agentic AI platform.
This company has closed four acquisitions at inception and expects to pursue additional strategic M&A, integrating the businesses and then exiting through an IPO or sale to a strategic partner.
The company is looking for a highly experienced CFO with M&A integration capabilities, who can serve as a critical thought partner to the CEO, as well as handle some of the upfront work involved with acquiring multiple businesses. Initially, the company will be closing three acquisitions concurrently, and the CFO will be essential to setting operating metrics, measuring performance, creating budgets and reporting to lenders and the Board. This is a "player coach" who is equally comfortable with executive-level conversations as building a budget model.
The CFO will be a key member of the leadership team and have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the Company. The CFO will be responsible for regular communication to the Board, ensuring that high-quality forecasts, strategic insight, and critical data is available to inform decision making. This individual will work closely and coordinate cross-functionally with all management team members. The CFO will first and foremost be pragmatic, driven and results oriented, with the ability to set priorities, resolve conflicts, and hold the team accountable to timelines and organizational goals in a fast-moving organization.
As an AI-native business, the company seeks a CFO familiar and comfortable with leveraging technology to drive efficiencies across people and processes. A key value creation driver involves realizing incremental margins through deploying technology internally (as well as externally). Furthermore, developing dashboards for cross-selling and strategic partnerships both play an important role in the CFO's responsibilities.
The CFO will lead all aspects of reporting, budgeting and financial planning and analysis, will maintain oversight and optimization of cashflow management, and will ensure that appropriate risk management techniques and financial controls are established and followed. In addition to financial domain responsibilities, the CFO will be accountable for key operating functions, including Business Analytics and Customer Support and will play a critical role in structuring the Company's financial and operating systems to establish the foundation for a $1B business.
