ROLE IMPACT
The Estimator I plays a pivotal role in project acquisition by preparing accurate bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. Success in this role ensures that projects are competitively priced, well-documented, and fully understood before execution, directly impacting profitability and client satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review drawings and specifications to define scope and estimate components.Prepare detailed cost takeoffs and enter data into estimating software systems.Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and alignment with project plans.Develop complete bid packages including subcontracts, tools, equipment rentals, and material costs.Support bid reviews and coordinate project turnover to operations teams.Draft scope letters and maintain estimate backup documentation.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field2+ years of experience estimating commercial construction (electrical preferred)Proficient in Microsoft Office; Accubid and CAD / 3D software experience a plusStrong numerical, blueprint interpretation, and problem-solving skillsCORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
