IT Asset Manager

Responsibilities

The IT Asset Manager will :

• Develop and promote effective Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) strategies, policies, approaches, and best practices across the full range of digital technology assets used within the organization
• Work with business stakeholders and asset owners to maintain and manage the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the IT asset repositories
• Apply a continuous improvement approach in enhancing the strategies employed in technology spending, as well as in tracking company assets within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) throughout their lifecycle
• Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management
• Perform research on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practices
• Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets, including version control, licensing details, and usage statistics
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and optimize software utilization
• Monitor and enforce software licensing agreements to ensure compliance with vendor terms and conditions
• Monitor and enforce hardware lifecycle to ensure compliance with organizations policies
• Generate and maintain reports on licensing and lifecycle
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to software licenses, agreements, and compliance processes
• Generate regular reports for management, providing insights into software usage, compliance status, and cost optimization opportunities
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with software vendors to stay informed about licensing changes, updates, and promotions
• Evaluate and negotiate licensing agreements to achieve cost savings and maximize value for the organization
• Work closely with procurement to manage software contracts and renewals
• Perform other duties, as needed
