Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Reidsville, North Carolina (27320) – North Carolina healthcare jobs

Assignment Type : Travel RN Contract

Unit : Medical / Surgical Cardiac Telemetry

Start Date : November 18, 2025

End Date : February 17, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 3x12 Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), every other weekend & holiday rotation

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1820-$1870

Patient Ratio : Up to 6 patients per nurse

Charting System : Epic (Epic RN experience required)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state

BLS certification required

ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred

Experience with acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients

Proficiency with Epic charting system

Ability to float between all Cone Health facilities as needed

Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)

COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Education verification through a third party required

No open cases on background check; active RN license in hand at submission

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage telemetry equipment

Care for patients with acute and chronic conditions, including respiratory illness, post-op surgery, orthopedics, CHF, diabetes, and renal failure

Administer IV medications and drips (e.g., Heparin, TNA)

Perform and document patient assessments, interventions, and evaluations

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)

Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed

Float to other units or Cone Health facilities as required

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, attendance, and timely completion of orientation modules
