Hours- During the School Year, the hours are : 1 : 30pm-8 : 30pm

Summer Hours (Late May- Late August- 8 : 30am- 4 : 30pm

About the Role :

The Day Treatment Associate plays a crucial role in providing therapeutic support and care to individuals in a structured day treatment program. This position focuses on fostering a safe and supportive environment that promotes the emotional and psychological well-being of participants. The Day Treatment Associate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized treatment plans and facilitate group activities. By engaging clients in meaningful interactions and therapeutic exercises, the associate helps to enhance their coping skills and overall quality of life. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to empower clients to achieve their personal goals and improve their mental health outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a mental health or healthcare setting.
  • Must complete CARF and competency training with the first six months of employment and annually
  • Valid Driver's license

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for clients.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and therapeutic activities that promote social skills and emotional regulation.
  • Monitor client behavior and provide support during challenging situations, ensuring a safe environment.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and provide comprehensive support.

    Strong Communication and Interpersonal Abilities

    Facilitate clear, compassionate dialogue with clients and colleagues, ensuring effective collaboration and understanding.

    Organizational Skills

    Efficiently manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate documentation, and prioritize responsibilities to support client progress.

    Empathy

    Understand and share the feelings of clients, fostering trust and a supportive therapeutic relationship.

    Active Listening

    Fully engage with clients by attentively listening, interpreting verbal and non-verbal cues, and responding thoughtfully to their concerns.

    Familiarity with evidence-based practices enhances the ability to support clients effectively.

    Crisis Intervention Strategies

    Ability to de-escalate high-stress situations and provide immediate support during client crises.
