Position : Communications and Creative Team Associate

Immediate Supervisor : Creative Team Director

Classification : Non-Exempt / Hourly

Summary : An active team member on thriving and fast-paced association management creative team. Associate will utilize a variety of tools, especially Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Photoshop to maintain and heighten client product line and identity. Possession of effective social media skills through Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn necessary. Committed to producing quality in communications and design.

Position Description : Associate engages with a client team to deliver electronic publishing services. Responsibilities includes electronic media projects, website updates, and some print pieces. Individual is part of a creative team as well as client teams, working independently yet collaboratively on project tasks, coordination, and quality assurance.

Technical Skills : PC-based environment. Basic to medium-level skills preferred in :

  • Adobe Creative Suite - Proficiency in Adobe Premiere a plus.
  • WordPress
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Constant Contact and MemberClicks (web-based email broadcast systems)

Team Skills :

  • Strong verbal and written communications. Proficiency in editing and writing preferred.
  • Collaboration to develop the highest quality product.
  • Strategizing to determine the effective target audience and format of projects.
  • Coordination with other team members to effectively deliver projects in a timely manner.
  • Personal Skills :

  • Proof reading and communications.
  • Project prioritization.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to efficiency as well as deadlines.
  • Interpersonal communication.
  • Self-motive yet collaborative within team dynamics.
  • General Responsibilities :

  • Creating electronic email campaigns using developed templates. Periodic design refreshes as needed. Critical attention to detail and editing.
  • Create and produce general event signage, banners, and print collateral.
  • Regular updates and refreshes to clients websites.
  • Posting regularly on social media platforms, as determined by the client, as well as client blogs.
  • PowerPoint slide creation.
  • Develop online forms.
