Position Summary / Responsibilities :

Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction that adheres to GCSD arts curriculum and NYS standards using a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students.

• Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where all students feel supported and challenged.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and evidence based interventions as appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and colleagues regarding student progress and potential areas for improvement.
• Stay current with best practices in music education and professional development opportunities.
• Potentially teach in a variety of areas which could include a combination of band, vocal / general music, and strings
• Participate in evening concerts and district, county, and state-wide music festivals as applicable to the position.
• All teachers who are new to Greece will be required to attend two teacher induction days August 18th and 19th.
• Additionally, all Teachers will be required to to work 1 Teacher day in the Month of August (occurring between August 18th-29th).
