Job description

Now Hiring CDL Drivers

MV Transportation is seeking drivers who will be responsible for safely operating a transit vehicle. Must have a CDL with air-brake endorsement and passenger endorsement. Walk-in welcome Wednesday 10am - 12pm & 1pm - 3pm at 1785 Highway 80 West, Jackson, MS 39213.

Responsibilities :

  • On-time passenger pick-up and delivery
  • Providing safe, reliable, and efficient public transportation to all passengers
  • Ensuring safe and clean vehicle condition at the start and end of each shift
  • Conducting pre and post trip inspections
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch or central office via two-way radio
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Employing all defensive driving techniques to minimize risk
  • Focusing on safety to reduce the opportunity for injury to self or other employees

    • Qualifications :

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
  • Must have a CDL with airbrake endorsement and passenger endorsement
  • Possess excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Ability to navigate the service area through use of maps, and knowledge of service area
  • Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate professional demeanor and appearance
  • Maintain a strong attendance record
  • Follow company safety and operational rules and procedures
