Description
Key Responsibilities :
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and thank them as they leave
Manage waitlists and reservations using [reservation software or manual systems]
Assign tables to guests efficiently while considering server rotation and guest preferences
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the front entrance and host stand
Communicate wait times and manage guest expectations during peak hours
Answer phone calls, take reservations, and handle guest inquiries professionally
Collaborate with servers and management to ensure a smooth flow of service
Assist with light bussing or cleaning duties as needed
Monitor dining room to ensure guest satisfaction and comfort
Qualifications :
Previous customer service or hosting experience is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and courteous in high-pressure situations
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Professional appearance and demeanor
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Familiarity with reservation systems like OpenTable or Resy is a bonus
Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
May occasionally need to lift up to 25 lbs
