Job Details :

• 2 years of recent experience required
• Travel experience required
• Patient ratios : Days 1 : 4, Nights 1 : 5, Weekends 1 : 5
• 24 hours of orientation
• Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH (prior to assignment)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must be licensed in Kentucky or hold compact license at submission
• 2 references required
• Floating to different units may be required
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility to be eligible as traveler
• Skills required : interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, O2 protocol management, non-invasive airway management, management of drips, peripheral and central line care / management, blood product administration, isolation precautions / PPE, computerized documentation
• Additional skills : accessing / managing ports, chest tubes, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, telemetry monitoring, titrating cardiac and insulin drips, tracheostomy care, wound care / wound vac
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including various cancers and post-surgical care
• Unit has 26 beds with daily census of 25 patients
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Modules completed during orientation and annually (non-billable, approximately 2 hours)
