Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,542 per week in Bismarck, ND

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Client - Medical Surgical Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day / Night Rotation Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum of 1 year of Med-Surg or stroke / neuro experience preferred. License : Required Certifications : BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred but not required. Must-Have : Must note any previous employment with the organization. Description : The position requires assessing, planning, and implementing patient care and treatment. Nurses demonstrate responsibility, accountability, prioritization, organization, and effective communication with co-workers. Identifying problems and offering appropriate solutions are essential skills. The department utilizes computerized charting and medication systems. Equipment includes EPIC, Plum IV pumps, and Plum PCAs. There will always be two nurses working during 12-hour shifts, either days or nights. On-call situations are rare in this role. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. The unit accommodates eight beds specifically for stroke patients. The nursing-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4. Scrubs should be navy blue. The unit deals with some surgical and acute care patients when beds are available. Registered Nurses will be assigned to a preceptor to familiarize themselves with unit processes and routines.
