Airport Mbia Air Rescue Firefighters
Under occasional supervision, on Department of Airport property, enforces federal, local and state laws, County ordinances and Airport policies and procedures related to public safety and welfare.
Responds to actual or potential aircraft emergencies to prevent or extinguish aircraft fires and rescue aircraft occupants.
Responds to fires to protect life and property.
Responds to medical emergencies as a First Responder and providing patient care as appropriate to adopted protocols.
Works under stressful, high-risk conditions.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of Civilian or Military ARFF firefighter experience. Candidate must pass a background check without indication of possible aviation security risk as required by the transportation security administration, valid SC motor vehicle operator's license, and meet pre-employment drug screening requirements.
