Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Newark, Ohio (43055) – Licking County Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Unit : Med / Surg (Medical Surgical) Duration : 13-week contract Shifts : 12-hour day shifts Hours per Week : 36 Start Date : ASAP Estimated Weekly Salary : $1590 - $1710 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg clinical experience (2 years preferred) Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR Participate in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning from admission Communicate changes in patient status to healthcare team members to ensure continuity and safety Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies and safety procedures Contribute to team building and a positive work environment Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Newark, Ohio!
