Job description

Overview :

Department : Float Pool

Shift : Full-Time, Days

The Float Pool Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across various units within the facility. You will ensure consistent and high-quality nursing care, leveraging both technical and manual skills to address the psychosocial, physical, and overall needs of patients. Effective communication with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare team members is crucial in this position. This role operates under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily activities in accordance with LPN practice standards.
  • Deliver care across assigned units, adjusting swiftly to diverse patient populations and specific unit protocols.
  • Observe, document, and communicate any changes in patient conditions to the supervising RN.
  • Assist in coordinating care and educating patients and their families.
  • Support the RN in the development and assessment of individualized patient care plans.
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications :

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Current and valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained continuously.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.

    Pay Transparency :

The estimated compensation for this role ranges from $33.00 to $36.62, with the final starting salary determined based on a variety of factors such as experience, education, and skills.
