Job Description
Are you a passionate and driven recent nursing graduate ready to launch your career with confidence? Join our inpatient Neurology / EMU team as a night shift RN and embark on a transformative journey where you'll receive mentorship, specialized training, and the opportunity to make a real difference in patient care from day one. Take your first step towards a rewarding career in healthcare with us!
The Registered Nurse (RN), a member of Advocate Health Nursing Professional Governance community, provides high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, advocates for patient needs, and upholds professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes.
Position Highlights
The Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) is a 6-bed unit serving both pediatric and adult patients. Most admissions are elective and scheduled, allowing for thoughtful, patient-centered care. This unit fosters a collaborative culture built on teamwork, inclusion, and evidence-based practice.
The Neurology Unit features 17 beds and provides advanced neurological care for stroke patients, general neurology cases, and select neurosurgery overflow. It also includes eight dedicated hospitalist beds to ensure comprehensive treatment. Here, you'll work closely with providers, therapists-including speech, physical, and occupational-and pharmacists to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care in a multidisciplinary setting.
Across both units, you'll find a supportive environment that values innovation, empathy, and every team member's voice. If you're passionate about delivering high-quality care and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
