maintains quality patient care through consistent standards of nursing practice in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Utilizes the nursing process : assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate to execute appropriate individual patient care.
Responsible for orientation, training / precepting, and mentoring of other staff on the unit.
communicate and document assessment with interdisciplinary team; Planning & Implementation - Develop and document plan of care, treatment and services; collaborate interdisciplinary health team to deliver care; maintains an appropriate nurse-patient relationship and provides an exceptional experience for the patient and family.~ Evaluation & Education - Evaluate, communicate and document patient responses to care; revise plan of care based on ongoing evaluations; ensure the patient receives and understands education / training specific to their needs and abilities.
~ Training - Provide training for new team members on the unit; assume role of teacher for nursing students and other students shadowing on the unit; Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required.~ Registered Nurse license in New York State.~ Minimum of 6 months experience as a registered nurse.
