Key Responsibilities

• Maintain MRI Safety protocols aligned with the American College of Radiology guidelines and hospital policies.
• Review patient history and physician orders meticulously.
• Ensure patients understand procedures, equipment, and exams by providing comprehensive education.
• Prepare necessary equipment and supplies prior to each procedure.
• Select optimal imaging parameters based on individual patient needs.
• Implement safety standards and conduct regular quality control checks on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently, escalating issues as necessary.
• Accurately charge for all supplies used during procedures and utilize relevant exam codes.
• Assume on-call responsibilities as required by the department.
• Administer contrast media and / or medications as ordered, staying within scope of practice.
• Continuously monitor patient condition and report / respond to changes in status appropriately.
• Position patients correctly and perform imaging procedures effectively.
• Analyze acquisition parameters and resulting sequences, identifying image quality issues promptly.
• Take corrective action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and / or repeating images / sequences in conjunction with interpreting physicians and established protocols.
