Facility Type : Full-service hospital, Emergency Department (12-bed ED with fast track areas)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse contract

End Date : February 23, 2026

Duration : 13-week travel nursing assignment

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : Rotating weekends

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1570-$1680

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (3-5 years preferred)

Current certifications : ACLS, BLS, and PALS

Proven experience stabilizing trauma patients and preparing for transfer

Proficient in ventilator care, BiPAP, and management of central / arterial lines

Strong teamwork and communication skills; collaborative approach to patient care

Ability to work rotating weekends as required by the hospital schedule

Compliance with hospital dress code : blue scrubs (sweatshirt or tee shirt with scrub pants permitted; no offensive language or political statements)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced Emergency Department

Stabilize trauma patients, coordinate transfers, and respond to critical situations

Administer critical drips, manage advanced airway and life support equipment

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Meditech EHR

Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and clinical support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Provide care for a wide range of diagnoses, from minor illnesses to major traumas

Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive healthcare environment for patients and colleagues
