Job description

Job Description :

Pay Range : $30hr - $34hr

  • The Manufacturing / Assembly Technician will perform precision assembly work in a manufacturing and prototyping environment.
  • The role requires reading and interpreting engineering drawings, maintaining accurate records, working with fragile and precise assemblies, and adhering to established policies and procedures.

Essential Functions :

  • Perform work in a manufacturing and / or prototyping environment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
  • Handle very fragile and precise assemblies with care.
  • ssist in identifying problems and propose solutions.
  • dhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices.
  • Work with a variety of hand tools and specialized equipment.
  • Proficient in using measuring tools such as verniers, calipers, and scales.
  • Perform effectively both as an individual contributor and within a team environment.

    • Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a 2-year post-secondary / associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • bility to work overtime, weekends, shifts, and travel as required.
  • bility to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
  • Willingness to submit to a background investigation; government security clearance may be required.

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or Optical disciplines.
  • erospace or Defense industry experience.
  • Experience with shop equipment including Mills, Lathes, Grinders, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing practices.

    • Hard Skills (Must-Have) :

  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience with HS Diploma, or 2 years post-secondary with 2 years relevant experience.
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation.
  • Work with fragile and precise assemblies.
  • Use hand tools and specialized equipment effectively.
  • Proficient with measuring tools (verniers, calipers, scales, etc.).

    • Soft Skills (Must-Have) :

  • Punctual and reliable.
  • bility to work effectively in a team-based environment.

    • Nice-to-Have Skills :

  • Experience in Electrical / Mechanical / Optical disciplines.
