Summary of Position :

RooMaven is a wholesale cabinetry company specializing in full over-frame cabinetry and semi-custom luxury frameless cabinetry. American-made luxury cabinetry engineered for the discerning few. Where architectural refinement meets uncompromising craftsmanship. The Design and Sales Specialist position will be responsible for delivering exceptional 20 / 20 design knowledge and expertise to RooMaven's clients, including assisting clients and internal staff in the design and visualization of kitchen, bath, closetry, and various project layouts. Additionally, the 20 / 20 designers will deal directly with walk-in homeowners and contractors, creating original designs for their projects. The ideal candidate will be familiar with current trends within the home improvement and design industries and demonstrate a strong aptitude for creative thinking and problem-solving.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Ensure RooMaven’s clients are cared for in any way that is reasonably requested throughout the client’s entire process, as they relate to the design process and / or their interactions within the Showroom.
  • Abate issues with client orders by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to the Sales Manager.
  • Complete original renderings, drawings, sketches, etc., to clients, upon request, for their project;
  • Design kitchen(s), closet(s), bathroom(s), and other various project layouts from start to finish, using 2020 software.
  • Stay up to date with cabinet specifications, lead times, and product offerings.
  • Help clients select products based on their needs, product specifications, and regulations.
  • Emphasize product features based on analyses of their customers' needs, technical knowledge of product capabilities, and limitations.
  • Answer customers' inquiries on prices, availability, and product uses.
  • Negotiate prices and prepare sales agreements, contracts, and submit orders for processing;
  • Keeps the Manager informed of when an issue needs to be escalated.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure they are satisfied with their purchases and address any questions or concerns.

Expected and essential knowledge, skills, and abilities :

  • An exceptional level of attention to detail.
  • Effective and polished written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a wholesale cabinetry or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
  • 2 + years of experience in kitchen and bath design using 2020 Design Software.
  • Requires knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of cabinetry construction : framed, frameless, full overlay, semi-custom.
  • Strong understanding of space planning, cabinet installation, and NKBA standards.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in reading architectural drawings and job site measurements.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Customer service mindset and ability to represent the company professionally.
  • Work Schedule : Monday -Friday. 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM.

    Location : On-Site. 6601 South I-85 Services Road, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28241.

    Compensation :

  • Starting Pay : $60,000 (Base + Draw).
  • Base Salary : $24,000.
  • Guaranteed Draw : $36,000.
  • Commission Structure : 6% commission on sales volume after the Draw is covered (equivalent to $600,000 in sales).

  • The new employee will undergo a 90-day work probation and then be evaluated on these noted expectations after hire, with their sales manager and team administrative team, to ensure all job-related expectations are met and continued employment with RooMaven LLC.

  • After the first month of employment, the new hire is qualified to be enrolled in the health insurance
  • After the second month of employment, the new hire is qualified to take the holiday pay
  • After the third month of employment, the new hire is qualified to take PTO (Paid Time Off). Since you are employed, the PTO accrual starts with the first payroll. The accrued rate policy and timeline are outlined in the RooMaven Employee Handbook.
