As the Director of People Operations at Beacon Behavioral Partners, you will serve as a foundational leader, overseeing the seamless execution of all core operational aspects of People Operations. This role is crucial for ensuring efficiency, compliance, and a positive employee experience across our partner practices, with a strong focus on utilizing technology like ADP for streamlined processes.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all payroll-related functions, ensuring timely, accurate processing and compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws. Leverage features within ADP Workforce Now for efficient processing and reporting.
Administer and manage all employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, etc.). Coordinate open enrollment periods, ensure compliance with benefit regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA), and serve as a key point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Provide guidance, coaching, and mediation to managers and employees to ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures, fostering a positive work environment aligned with our core values.
Oversee accurate and timely data entry and maintenance of all employee records within our HR Information Systems (HRIS), specifically ADP Workforce Now. Ensure data integrity and privacy standards are maintained.
Develop and maintain key People metrics and dashboards. Use data from ADP and other sources to generate reports on turnover, headcounts, benefits utilization, payroll costs, and compliance metrics to inform operational decisions.
Ensure all People Operations activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare accreditation standards. Provide expert guidance on FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Compensation matters, mitigating organizational risk.
Continuously evaluate and improve operational workflows for efficiency and scalability, particularly during growth periods or M&A integrations.
Key Qualifications
Extensive progressive HR experience (typically 12+ years), with a strong focus on core HR operational functions (payroll, benefits, data management, employee relations). Experience within the high-growth company or behavioral health sector is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and payroll platforms is essential, with strong, hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now or similar comprehensive HR platforms.
Deep knowledge of payroll administration, benefits management, and employment law principles.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; relevant certifications (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CPP (Certified Payroll Professional), or PHR) are preferred.
