Material Handler / Kitter

Powell is a manufacturer of switchgear and other electrical equipment. We are currently hiring a Material Handler / Kitter at our Southeast Houston manufacturing facility. Four 10s Schedule : Monday-Thursday 2 : 30pm-1 : 00am; OT as needed.

Position Summary

As a Senior Material Handler, you will be responsible for supporting the designated division or department through the handling, organization and record keeping of needed materials. This includes inventory control, maintaining accurate equipment and supply records, and facilitating the stocking and restocking of material needs throughout a designated shop area. The following outlines the primary duties and responsibilities for this position.

LV / MV Cage Attendant Responsibilities

• Understanding of 5S inclusive of general housekeeping and organizational skills
• Works well in diverse work environment, able to communicate and work with people from multiple ethnic backgrounds
• Works with leads from multiple departments
• Maintaining tool calibration (i.e. crimpers) including maintaining records
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of correct PPE
• Computer skill with

Microsoft Suite : Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
