Location : Kennewick, WA 99338 (Pacific Northwest healthcare hub)
Assignment Type : Travel RN contract
Start Date : December 8, 2025
End Date : March 9, 2026
Duration : 13-week nursing contract
Shift : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00-19 : 00)
Hours per Week : 36 (guaranteed)
Weekend Requirement : 2 weekend shifts per pay period
Unit : Progressive Care Unit (16 private rooms)
Patient Ratio : 1 : 4 (1 : 3 for higher acuity)
Float Requirement : Yes (Med / Surg, Postpartum, Step Down)
Call Requirement : Yes
Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680-$1800
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active RN license (Washington or compact state)
BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS or rhythm interpretation training required)
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg or Progressive Care RN experience
Proficiency in EKG / cardiac monitoring, respiratory assessment / support, and medication titration
Eligible for travel nurse status (must reside 60+ miles from facility)
Med / Surg RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a progressive care / step-down unit
Monitor and interpret EKGs and cardiac rhythms
Perform respiratory assessments and manage BIPAP support
Titrate medications and monitor patient responses
Float between Med / Surg, Postpartum, and Step Down units as needed
Care for patients with ETOH detox, post-PCI, DKA / HHS, cardiac, and GI diagnoses
Document care using Paragon (McKesson) EHR system
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
