About the Role
We are seeking a warm, confident, and highly organized Host to be the first point of contact for guests. This role sets the tone for the entire experience and requires someone who is personable, professional, and able to manage a high-volume environment with ease. The Host will greet guests, manage reservations and waitlists, coordinate flow with the floor team, and ensure every guest feels valued from the moment they arrive.
Key Responsibilities
Greet all guests with a welcoming, upbeat attitude
Manage the reservation system, waitlist, and walk-ins efficiently
Maintain organized and accurate guest seating rotations
Communicate wait times clearly and honestly
Escort guests to tables and provide initial menus or guidance
Coordinate closely with managers, servers, and security to manage guest flow
Prioritize VIPs, special requests, and large parties based on internal guidelines
Handle phones, emails, and inquiries with professional communication
Maintain a clean and organized host desk, entryway, and guest line area
Uphold hospitality standards and represent the brand’s tone and energy
Assist with additional tasks during peak times as needed
Qualifications
Previous host, front desk, or customer service experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
Experience with reservation platforms (Resy, OpenTable, SevenRooms, etc.) is a plus
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to multitask and problem-solve quickly
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs if needed
Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays
