Salary :
The Club at Los Gatos, the Bay Area's premier health club, is hiring for an experienced Massage Therapist / Personal Trainer. The massage / body work experience for this role is a must-have, and if the candidate also has experience in personal training they would also be able to work in the training department as well.
As a Massage Therapist / Personal Trainer, you have the opportunity to impact the lives of our members by helping them reach new levels of health and fitness. Specific Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Accurately clock in and out for all shifts
- Ensure all breaks are taken
- Maintaining clean and safe environment
- Offer the following services : Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports massage
- Be able to recommend and prescribe on going treatment / services
- Prepare and deliver sound, evidence based comprehensive exercise programs based on individual client goals
- Coach and motivate members at every stage of their fitness journey
- Schedule and conduct new member onboarding sessions, including conductingassessments
- Support, teach and encourage members to meet his / her fitness goals
- Alleviate pain and discomfort by identifying overactive tissues
- Help clients regain range of motion and mobility goals
- Maintain an active client base and build a referral network
- Sell and deliver massage and personal training programs / packages to clients
- Assist with new member outreach and follow-up with low users
- Ensure that your MINDBODY schedule is always updated at least two week out
- Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance
- Work with all other departments as needed
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Check Slack channels at the beginning and end of shift, as well as needed during scheduled hoursUse proper Slack channels for communication, maintenance and inventory needsFollow uniform policyBe knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered at TCLGPromote club services and activitiesAssist with keeping The Club well stocked and cleanAttend TCLG site meetings and trainingsHandle injury and illness and security incident reportingQualifications and Education Requirements
4-year college degree in fitness related field or certificate from accredited 2-year program at a university preferredNational Personal Training Certification(s) required as well as modality specific certifications as required by role (if applicable)Previous health club personal training experience is a plus.Must be detail oriented, organized and highly responsive with a commitment to customer serviceStrong verbal communication skillsBasic computer skills, customer service skills, results oriented, ability to multitask, and commitment to the fitness industryAED / CPR / First Aid CertifiedProof of citizenship or legal statusPhysical and Working Conditions
Ability to take the responsibility for the health and safety of othersAbility to stand for several hours in a same shift; ability to lift 45 lbsFitness club environmentMust follow OSHA and TCLG safety standardsCompany Overview
