Cimarron is seeking Mechanical Engineers to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the US Air Forces Sentinel program (GBSD) in Ogden UT. Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design construction and integration of the Sentinel launch infrastructure at locations to include Vandenberg AFB CA F.E. Warren AFB WY Malmstrom AFB MT and Minot AFB ND. Sentinel is a vital nuclear modernization program that will recapitalize the nations aging ground based leg of the nuclear triad the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This is an onsite position that offers a 9X80 work schedule (i.e. every other Friday off) paid overtime and a great work / life balance. For candidates not local to the Ogden area a relocation allowance can be provided.

Key Duties :

• Prepare and check design and procurement documents including P&IDs calculations data sheets engineering specifications and material requisitions.
• Develop specifications and data sheets for unique requirement-driven equipment and serve as the technical representative for related purchase orders or subcontracts.
• Review vendor submittals and manage thetechnical performance of selected suppliers.
• Apply standard mechanical engineering methods techniques and procedures to support design decisions.
• Design develop and evaluate mechanical components and processes using applicable procedures standards and tools.
• Coordinate mechanical engineering efforts with other disciplines the client vendors contractors and construction teams.
• Prepare conceptual studies designs reports and proposals.
• Provide technical assistance to mechanical personnel and interface with project teams clients and regulatory agencies to resolve complex issues.
• Support project and construction management by identifying and addressing mechanical requirements throughout project execution.
• Prepare mechanical engineering reports for clients as needed.
• Mentor and assist junior mechanical engineering team members.
• Complete mechanical documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Select components and equipment based on specification analysis and reliability assessments.
