• Ability to float to lower acuity floors
• Bedside experience within the last 6 months

Description :

Registered Nurse needed for a Step Down Unit.

The position requires working night shifts.

Shifts are approximately 12 hours in duration.

This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting.

Candidate must possess a valid state nursing license.

Certifications in ACLS, BCLS, and NIH are required.

The role involves direct patient care in a high acuity environment.

Nurses will be responsible for the management and titration of various intravenous medications.

The unit typically sees a patient ratio of 1 : 4 during night shifts.

Every other weekend coverage is required, with shifts needed either Friday / Saturday or Saturday / Sunday.

The unit supports a variety of patient diagnoses requiring acute medical care.

Clinical responsibilities include monitoring and addressing cardiac arrhythmias, managing trach-vented patients, and performing chest tube care.

Candidates must be proficient in using the charting system employed in the facility.

Floating to lower acuity floors will be expected as necessary.
