JOB OVERVIEW
The Marketing Specialist works closely with the Product Manager and Marketing Teams to drive business results by providing timely, high quality and impactful Marketing content and data across our sales division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Supports Product Management, Sales and Marketing Teams by preparing and analyzing a wide range of reports from various data sources and offers insight based on findings.
- Owns and maintains Pricing files housing all product data, vendor costs and customer pricing levels, including implementation of price increases and other special pricing methodology projects.
- Manages Display Program to adhere to process and overall best practices. Including but not limited to order processing, tracking, conflict resolution, display code assignments, sales team communications, inventory / backorder reporting, customer audits, etc.
- Processes bulk sample orders as directed by Product Management including but not limited to order processing, tracking, conflict resolution, sales team communications, inventory / backorder reporting, customer audits, etc.
- Regulates approval adherence with sales leadership team as it applies to order discounts.
- Researches and analyzes Marketing information, including market and product trends, pricing schedules, product specifications, and demographic data to support decision making within the Marketing and Product Management Departments.
- Executes Marketing plans to reach target audiences through brand awareness, product promotions and other specialized tactics; Tracks and measures the effectiveness of Marketing efforts and campaigns.
- Designs creative content to support new or existing Marketing programs and promotions using Adobe In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop or other software.
- Supports Digital Marketing efforts by providing content, documentation and hands-on maintenance, i.e. Websites and / or Social Media.
- Product content, information, collateral ownership and maintenance as it relates to Branded and Private Label products.
- Brainstorms with team members to develop ideas for creative Marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Coordinates with cross-functional teams and external vendors to execute Marketing project tasks.
- Creates and / or assembles presentations for internal and external purposes.
- Performs various other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Must be proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office tools and be able to learn other reporting information systems.Basic understanding of marketing analytics and market research.Must be well organized, be detail oriented, have excellent time management skills and be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Must express an eagerness to learn, have excellent problem-solving skills and be self-motivated.Must have outstanding presentation, customer service and communication skills.Must be proficient in graphic design software including Adobe In-Design, Illustrator and Photoshop.Flexibility in schedule and additional hours will be required during peak project times.Minimal travel may be required for sales meetings and corporate events.Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field and / or 2 years of work experience in marketing or related field preferredWORK ENVIRONMENT :
