Staff Accountant
We are seeking a dedicated staff accountant to enhance our financial operations. This role involves supporting month-end close processes, performing account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and conducting inventory analysis. You will also assist in managing accounts payable, budgeting, and financial reporting. Responsibilities include supporting the month-end closing process, providing weekly, monthly, and annual inventory support and analyzing inventory variances, preparing schedules for prepaid expenses and accruals, managing accounts payable and serving as backup for accounts receivable, preparing and entering journal entries as required, reconciling monthly balance sheet accounts, including intercompany accounts, assisting with fixed asset record keeping, providing backup support for income statement, financial bridge, balance sheet, and cash flow preparation, contributing to the preparation of monthly financial packages and assisting with budgeting, and generating ad hoc financial reports as needed.
Essential skills include experience in month-end closing, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation, proficiency in financial statement preparation and reporting, strong skills in budget analysis and cost accounting, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience with ERP systems. Additional skills and qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting, 23 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, cost accounting experience is a plus, and a strong team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
This position is based in an office within a manufacturing setting in Bardstown, KY. You will report to corporate functions located in MI. The role supports major automotive OEMs and involves working in a dynamic environment with several new projects expected to launch. We value a growth mindset and encourage professional development.
This is a contract to hire position based out of Bardstown, KY. The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
