As the Undergraduate Senior Program Coordinator , you'll be a vital part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team that supports students from diverse backgrounds as they pursue careers in environmental science and policy, climate studies, and marine science and conservation. You'll work closely with students, faculty, and staff across Duke's Nicholas School of the Environment (NSOE) in Durham and Beaufort, supporting undergraduate programs in Environmental Science / Environmental Science and Policy (ENV), Earth & Climate Sciences (ECS), and the Marine Science and Conservation (MARSCI) major. Your role will be central to fostering student success, provide administrative support to faculty, and ensuring the smooth operation of academic and engagement programs, and involves periodic early morning, evening, and weekend hours, as well as occasional travel to the Duke University Marine Lab in Beaufort, NC.

What You'll Do :

Academic Affairs (30%)

• Guide students through degree completion by communicating academic and co-curricular requirements, course offerings, and key milestones.
• Facilitate effective academic advising by coordinating advisor assignments, maintaining resources, and supporting student-faculty interactions.
• Manage graduation pathways including Graduation with Distinction (GWD) and capstone experiences.
• Oversee graduation clearance and coordinate with university stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processes.
• Support continuous program assessment through data collection, survey administration, and participation in advisory committees.
• Serve as liaison for marine science & conservation majors and faculty at the Duke Marine Lab.

Minimum Qualifications :

Education

Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.

Experience

Work requires three years of experience in program administration or involving academic, instructional or counseling activities to acquire skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events.

OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and / or experience.

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $48,960.00 to USD $77,928.00 .
