Time for Phonics is hiring : Visual Storyteller & Video Editor in Charlotte

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Visual Storyteller & Video Editor to bring engaging, kid-centered visual content to life as part of the Mystery Writing team. This role will help develop a new K–5 writing product designed to transform how students and teachers experience writing in the classroom, making it as joyful and captivating as our flagship science lessons. Working closely with a Scriptwriter / Activity Developer, you’ll curate impactful visuals, edit video content, and collaboratively build lessons that make complex writing concepts simple, relatable, and fun. You’ll be part of an iterative, creative team passionate about helping kids fall in love with learning through storytelling and hands-on exploration.

In This Role You Will :

• Collaborate with a Scriptwriter / Activity Developer and internal teams to bring writing lessons to life through compelling images, videos, and animations that are uniquely engaging for elementary-aged students
• Source “wow” visuals from a variety of sources that clarify abstract concepts and inspire laughter, curiosity, creativity, and engagement
• Ideate on concepts that illustrate the learning goals in partnership with a Scriptwriter / Activity Developer, and rapid iteration throughout the lesson development process, ensuring proper incorporation of feedback

This hybrid role is designed to be within a reasonable distance of our Charlotte HQs. Candidates must have access to a reliable internet connection and an appropriate home studio or workspace setup for creative content development and virtual collaboration.
