Actively seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician III for PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital located in Los Angeles, CA.
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s license record check is required
What You'll Do :
Formal training and preferred experience servicing clinical equipmentExperience in a healthcare facility or healthcare settingExperience effectively repairing, maintaining and calibrating clinical devices such as, but not limited to : & Servo U, I, V60s, Trilogy EV300 Ventilators, & GE Anesthesia or Training, OR exp., Telemetry preferred.Leadership experience with mentoring.&Proactive thinking skills to troubleshootStrong communication, time management, and customer service skills : ability to provide world class service to healthcare customers.What You Bring :
Preferably 7-10 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology settingBasic knowledge of networking theoryConsiderable knowledge of electronic circuitry and technical aspects of the operation, repair and maintenance of electronic equipmentSubstantial knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, and medical terminologyAbility to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and illustrated parts drawings of biomedical instrumentation and skill in testing electronic equipment as well as in manual dexterity, hand-to-eye coordination, and color vision.Position Summary :
Troubleshoots, inspects, repairs, maintains and calibrates an advanced range of clinical equipment, devices, systems and instruments. & Monitors, mentors and supports lower level BMET positions.

Inspect, maintain, repair and calibrate equipment and systemsEnsures regulatory complianceDevelops staff by teaching and mentoring othersProvides advanced support of equipment for direct patient careProvides advanced support of equipment for direct patient careInteracts on a routine basis with clinical health providers in the identification of technology based problems and solutionsSolves organization-level customer service issues and complaintsPreparing required documentation and reportsDemonstrates a safety mindsetFinancial responsibility for purchasing parts and service.Minimum Qualifications Requirements :
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment.Minimum Functional Experience - 7 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting.MUST HAVE
