Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Special Education Teacher to provide virtual instruction and support to K12 students in Michigan. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while making a meaningful impact on students' academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities

IEP Development & Implementation : Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and other school staff.

Virtual Instruction : Deliver direct instruction to students using virtual platforms, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and abilities.

Progress Monitoring : Assess and document student progress toward IEP goals, adjusting instruction as needed.

Collaboration : Work closely with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student progress and address academic and behavioral goals.

Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and services provided.

Behavioral Support : Support students' social-emotional development and behavior management through proactive strategies.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.

Licensure : Valid Michigan teaching certification with Special Education endorsement.

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a virtual setting.

Technical Skills : Proficiency with technology and fortable using virtual learning platforms.

Preferred Qualifications
