Must-Have :

Previous charge experience is preferred

Experience with a patient ratio of 4 : 1

Charting experience with Epic is required

Description :

Unit diagnoses include but are not limited to hypertension, diabetes, congestive heart failure, end-stage renal disease, coronary artery disease, abdominal pain, STEMI / NSTEMI, pulmonary embolism, COPD, and behavioral health.

Weekend coverage is every other weekend.

No call is required.

Floating within facility and scope of practice may be necessary.

A minimum of two years’ experience is required.

The unit accepts first-time travelers.

Once the candidate has signed and confirmation is sent, the hiring manager has 48 hours to review the profile and confirmation to determine if the fit is appropriate.

If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.

If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays.

For three major holidays, the traveler is expected to work two of them.

The compliance deadline to start on time is critical.

Failure to meet the compliance deadline may result in a push back of two weeks.

Local candidates are accepted for this position.

Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

The daily census is approximately 150 patients.

The unit may work in coordination with various interdisciplinary support teams as needed.

Candidates should be able to manage violent behavior and work effectively under pressure.

Experience with emergency medications and triage is expected.

Phlebotomy skills are required.

Management of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction / failure is necessary.

The ability to start and maintain IVs is a must.

Completion of required modules is necessary during the orientation phase.
