Location : Hempstead, NY

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 4-6 hours / day (2 : 00 PM-6 : 00 PM or 12 : 00 PM-6 : 00 PM)

Additional : Occasional weekend availability preferred

Pay : $22 / hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide in-home care for an elderly woman living in Hempstead, NY. The ideal candidate will be patient, punctual, attentive, and comfortable supporting a client with Parkinson's disease and mild hallucinations. This role is primarily companionship, safety monitoring, and gentle assistance with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily companionship and supervision to promote comfort and reduce hallucinations.
• Ensure the client eats lunch and stays hydrated.
• Encourage safe mobility and gentle movement throughout the day (mobility is her biggest challenge).
• Offer standby support during physical therapy sessions when needed (PT typically arrives around 12-1 PM).
• Assist with simple grooming activities such as hair care, nails, and basic foot care.
• Provide medication reminders (including blood thinners, Tylenol, and other routine medications).
• Ensure a calm and supportive environment at all times.
• Maintain punctual attendance - reliability is critically important.
• Assist with light household tasks related to the client's comfort and care.
