Job description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a hospital-based outpatient rehab position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a valid SC or compact PT license.

Job Details

  • Work in a hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation unit with potential to float to inpatient or sister facilities as needed,
  • Schedule is five 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday from 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm,
  • No weekend or on-call requirements, but possible holiday coverage may be needed,
  • Uses Epic for charting, and experience with this system is preferred,
  • Scrub color is pewter,
  • Free parking is provided,

Job Requirements

  • Active South Carolina or multistate compact Physical Therapist license at start of contract; license required if applicable,
  • Minimum of 1 year recent PT experience,
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required,
  • Not open to first-time travelers,
  • Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted,
  • Must provide SSN and driver's license for consideration,

    • Additional Information

  • Duties include providing evaluation and treatment for outpatients, with occasional float to similar rehab areas,
  • All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, and extended or holiday RTO requires approval,
  • Modules and pre-start online education must be completed before the assignment begins,
  • Previous staff or PRN employees must be separated from the system for at least 1 year to be eligible,
  • Must be willing to serve as part of the emergency response team during hurricane season, which runs June through November,
