Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical (Nights)

Location : La Porte, IN

Assignment Length : 13 Weeks

Start Date :  ASAP

Shift : Nights, 6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM

Guaranteed Hours : 72 bi-weekly

Call : None

Floating : Every third weekend, may float as needed

Unit / Facility Details :

Facility beds : 84

Unit beds : 30

Average daily census : 20 patients / month to date (MTD)

Patient ratio : 5 : 1 to 6 : 1

EMR : Cerner preferred

Overview :

HumanEdge Health is seeking a Travel RN for a fast-paced Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit in La Porte, IN. This role provides comprehensive patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and requires flexibility for floating as needed.

Responsibilities :

Provide direct patient care, including monitoring, administering medications, and responding to changes in condition.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, patient-centered care.

Document patient care accurately in Cerner EMR.

Float to other areas of the unit or hospital as needed, including every third weekend.

Maintain adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications :

RN licensure in Indiana.

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS; PALS required but not at time of hire.

Minimum 1 year of Med / Surg experience.

Competency in telemetry and critical thinking skills.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
