What You'll Do : Provide exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using Allied Universal training and protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter inappropriate or unauthorized activity. Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious behavior. Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel. Assist with access control and visitor management as required by site protocols. Support emergency response activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines. Minimum Requirements : At least 2 years of security-related experience is required. An armed guard card or license is required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. CPR and first aid certification is preferred. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and / or baton is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
