Estimated Weekly Pay Range : $1,710 - $1,750 per week

ER Nurse Job Details

Location : Maryville, Tennessee 37804 (East Tennessee healthcare jobs)

Facility : Community Hospital Emergency Department (44 beds, 27 rooms, 130 daily census)

Contract Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : March 2, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18 : 45 - 07 : 15)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Coverage : Required

Orientation : 36 hours (modules reimbursed up to 16 hours)

Emergency Room Nurse Qualifications

Active Tennessee or multistate Registered Nurse license

Minimum 1 year of recent ER nursing experience

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, CPI / MAB, PALS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred)

Proficiency with EPIC EMR (minimum 1 year preferred)

Ability to manage patient ratios of 4 : 1

Experience caring for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Community hospital nursing experience preferred

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Eligible to float to qualified units as needed

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages and acuity levels

Perform triage, assessment, and prioritization of patient care in a fast-paced ER setting

Administer emergency medications and manage acute medical and trauma situations

Initiate and manage IVs, arterial lines, central lines, ventilators, CPAP / BiPAP, and chest tubes

Interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac emergencies

Provide care for mental / behavioral health conditions, drug overdoses, and psychiatric holds

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response

Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR

Float to other qualified units as required
