Job Summary

The Lead Medication Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring a high standard of care for our residents. This position involves organizing and delegating tasks to resident assistants to ensure that care plans are effectively implemented and documented. You will be responsible for delivering age-appropriate care that addresses both the physical and psychological needs of our adult and geriatric residents.

Your essential duties will include :

• Providing hands-on care and assistance with daily living activities.
• Administering prescribed medications as directed by a licensed nurse.
• Communicating effectively with charge nurses regarding any changes in resident conditions.
• Maintaining a clean and supportive environment during your shift.
• Supporting residents in recreational programs and activities.
• Assisting nursing staff with procedures as necessary.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you will need :

Maintaining 12 hours of continuing education annually is required, along with other department-specific certifications.
