We are seeking an Accessibility Specialist to become part of a globally distributed team within one of EPAM's largest accounts.

As an Accessibility Tester, you will be responsible for the quality assurance of designated products with a focus on internal quality control. To excel in this position, you should have a comprehensive understanding of accessibility standards, such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), possess a robust knowledge of assistive technologies, automated testing tools, and have a solid background in accessibility testing. Additionally, you should have exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and experience working collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the end-to-end quality assurance process for a broad product portfolio, managing the testing request backlog and completing testing assignments
  • Work closely and communicate with key stakeholders in Design, Product Management, and Product Engineering to support testing activities throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Assist the Testing Lead in ensuring timely completion, accuracy, and alignment with expectations for all testing assignments
  • Conduct quality audits and recommend strategies to reduce quality discrepancies
  • Show expertise in handling complex products and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Set a positive example in cultivating a supportive team environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and respectful dialogue

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information science, information design, computer science, or equivalent industry experience
  • Over 3 years of experience in an accessibility-related role
  • Understanding of WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines
  • Advanced knowledge of assistive technologies and accessibility-related software, including JAWS, NVDA, and automated testing tools
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar platforms for bug logging and tracking
  • Proven ability to lead testing efforts across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities and the skill to interact with high-level stakeholders
  • Curiosity and effectiveness in challenging situations and managing divergent stakeholder needs
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms
  • Proficiency in English
