As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help foster a secure environment, and interact with staff, visitors, and patients to provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, remaining alert to potential security-related concerns in a healthcare environment. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible security-related presence. Monitor for unusual activity and / or potential hazards within the healthcare location, reporting observations according to established protocols. Assist with controlling access to restricted areas, verifying credentials and / or identification as required for the healthcare setting. Communicate professionally and clearly with clients, visitors, and staff while upholding the standards of Allied Universal. Support emergency response efforts by following established procedures during medical or security-related incidents. Minimum Requirements : Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit. Possess Act 235 Qualification for Pennsylvania. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
