About The Position

ID : 74192919 Shift : 12H Days 12 hr days plus call Description : Unit : PACU - PreOp RN

• Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Radius Rule : 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and / or Dignity.
• Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.
• RN's - Pass / Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated
• Fingernail policy : Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract- # of beds : 25- Phase 1 and Phase 2? : Yes- Ratios : 1 : 03- Common Cases : We do ortho, bariatric's both laparoscopically and robotically. General surgery, urology, hand and feet. Some spine cases. GYN procedures. and some sports medicine. Also get patients ready for cath Lab, IR, TEE and radiology procedures- Experience or 'Must have' skills : Must be experience in both preop / PACU and Phase II- EMR : EPIC- Is there a manager / Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? : Charge nurse- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) : Mix of 8, 10, 12 hour shifts / / Manager makes schedule, 6 weeks at a time- Weekend / Call Requirements : Call about every 5-6 weekends- Holiday / Call Requirements : Holiday call required- Floating Requirements : Between preop, pacu, phase II- How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation? : 1 week classroom for RN's then 1 week in the departmentRadius Rule : 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and / or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.Entered on : 12 / 2 / 2023 Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN Required : License to Trauma Level : 2 Care Shift Notes : 12 hr days plus call Required , BLS, PALS Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Contract Weeks : 91
