Asset Management Analyst / Associate

This is an asset management role / career path with a CMBS special servicer that involves management and oversight of a portfolio of distressed loan and REO. With the REO assets the firm will sometimes dig into repositioning the asset before selling. This firm also performs underwriting, credit risk assessment on new CRE loans targeted for sale to CMBS trusts.

Job Description

Underwriting & Portfolio Analysis :

• Support senior members of the asset management team in the analysis and underwriting of commercial real estate loans with collateral types including office, hospitality, retail, industrial and multifamily. The underwriting exercise will conclude with a risk rating and assessment of the borrower's ability to perform and exit the credit at loan maturity.
• Underwrite borrower requests that require lender consent, including assumptions, modifications, major leases, property management changes, or additional debt.
• Participate in quarterly watchlist reviews to evaluate the financial performance of various assets and make recommendations as to whether loan performance merits placement on the watchlist.
