Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and current ACLS, BLS, and either RCIS or ARRT certification.
Responsibilities
Position is in a cardiac catheterization lab at a short-term acute care, teaching, Magnet facilityDay shifts consisting of four 10-hour shifts from 7 : 30am to 6 : 00pm, with one day per week until 5 : 30pmOn-call required, typically 4-6 days per month including up to 1 weekend monthlyDuties include scrubbing and monitoring cath lab procedures including PCIs and assisting with support devices such as IABP and ImpellaTravelers may float within the hospital according to needEpic is used for charting, Epic experience preferred but not requiredPatient population includes adults undergoing cardiac catheterization and advanced interventional proceduresDaily duties include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating on cath lab procedures involving percutaneous coronary interventions and mechanical support devicesFirst-time travelers are accepted for this positionScrubs of any color are permitted and are provided for OR personnelEpic charting module is completed during orientationRequired to adhere to rotation and on-call schedule including some weekendsPrior staff must be separated for at least 18 months before returning as a travelerRequested time off (RTO) is limited to 1 week and not permitted during orientation weekLocal candidates are accepted at the same rates as travelersRequirements
Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab experience requiredEither RCIS (CVT) or ARRT credential requiredActive Washington State Radiology License required if applicableCurrent ACLS and BLS certifications requiredTeaching hospital and trauma center experience preferredCOVID-19 vaccination and booster required with no exceptionsTwo references required, with at least one being supervisoryPending WA license not accepted; must have active state licenseBenefits
