Patient Account Representative

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative responsible for collections, account follow-up, and billing allowance posting.

Key Responsibilities

Follow up with payers to ensure timely resolution of outstanding claims

Monitor all billings for accuracy and update any known errors

Analyze and resolve issues causing payer payment delays and initiate appeals when necessary

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required

2-3 years' experience in insurance collections and hospital / facility billing required

Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing including ICD-9 / 10, CPT, and HCPC codes

Experience with workflow systems and client host systems such as STAR, SMS, EAGLE, and EPIC

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
