Job description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of construction management principles. This role is critical in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment.

Duties :

  • Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to project schedules and timelines.
  • Coordinate and manage all construction activities, including scheduling labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Enforce safety regulations in compliance with OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Prepare construction estimates and assist in budget management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations.

Qualifications :

  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, practices, materials, and local building codes.
  • Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and understand complex blueprints, plans, and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate, mentor, and effectively lead a diverse construction team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, team members, and regulatory officials.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating practices and procedures, with a solid understanding of budget management.
  • Superior time management, organizational, and prioritization abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and an unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
