ESL Adjunct Instructor in Bridges English (ESL)
The Bridges Program at the University of Sioux Falls is seeking a TEFL / TESOL certified teacher for fall semester classes. The Bridges program offers classes for adults in the Sioux Falls community who want to learn or improve their English language skills.
Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on a semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon the needs of the University. Additionally, and based on need, a successful instructor may have the option of continuing for a subsequent semester. The instructor position for Bridges is classified as part-time and is housed in the Academic Affairs area. Adult English classes meet twice a week for two and a half hours per class over the course of the semester. The Fall 2025 semester will begin on August 18th.
Instructors teaching for Bridges report directly to the Bridges Director.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (minimum 3.0 GPA) from an accredited institution, although a master’s degree is preferred. A degree in English or ESL / ENL / ELL is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of learners’ special needs and have an appreciation of cultural diversity.
