LOCATION OF POSITION

Solomons Maryland. (Calvert County)

Main Purpose of Job

This Public Services position manages one of the Departments seven Regional ServiceCenters. Distributed throughout the State these locations serve a multi-county area andare the front-line connection between the Department and the constituency it Services is responsible for (1) sport hunting and fishing license sales (2) vesselregistration titling and excise tax collection (3) commercial tidal fish license renewals andtransfers (4) the issuance of off-road vehicle permits and (5) the licensing and monitoringof boat dealers and sport license agents.

POSITION DUTIES

A Licensing and Registration Service Center Manager is the managerial level of work responsible for oversight of a Department of Natural Resources Service Center location and a regional office team consisting of a Licensing and Registration Technician Supervisor and Licensing and Registration Technicians.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience : One year of supervisory experience involving titling and registering boats and issuing hunting and fishing licenses and permits.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Compliance Inspection and Support classifications or Compliance Inspection and Support specialty codes in the Inspection Investigation Enforcement and Compliance field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience involving management or supervision in a fast paced dynamic workplace
• Experience with strong verbal and written communication skills

LICENSES REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employeesin this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operators license valid in the State of Maryland.
